Materials & Equipment Needs

2011-2012 as of June 3, 2011

If needed chair packs can be purchased at Stitches Too in Murfreesboro. You may also come by and view a sample at the office. If you can sew, you may make your own, just come by and get measurements.

PEG MCLEAN/DEBBIE JONES- K- bookbag or bookpack, box of tissues, 1 two pocket folder, pencil box (plastic, no zippers please), 6 large glue sticks, (Elmer's School Glue works best), 2 large containers of antibacterial wipes, (Lysol or Clorox type), 1 box of Ziploc plastic bags, (girls bring quart size, boys bring gallon size), 1 pack of paper plates,  $12 film processing fee (make checks payable to Ridgecroft). Bring a change of clothes in a gallon Ziploc bag with their name on the bag. Please include shirt, pants, underwear, and socks. *A beach towel for resting. We will supply the paper, pencils, etc. You may bring the items to school on Registration Day. *Please remember to label all items with your child's name.

DENISE WHITE-1st grade- 1 book bag, 1 chair pack, 4  pocket folders, 1 pencil box, 1 black and white marble composition book, 1 plastic magazine caddy (Office Max, Staples), 3 packages of 3 X5 index cards,  2 packages 16 crayons, 2 pair of scissors, 2 package #2 pencils  4 glue sticks, 4 boxes of tissues, 2 container of antiseptic wipes w/o bleach, 2 box of quart size plastic bags (boys bring), 2 box of gallon size plastic bags (girls bring).

DAWN BOWMAN-2nd Grade- 2 single subject wide-rule notebooks, 2 one-inch, three-ring binders, pencils (not mechanical), scissors, glue stick, crayons/markers/and/or colored pencils, small box to hold crayons and pencils, etc., wide ruled loose-leaf notebook paper, 2 folders with pockets, 1 box of tissues, Clorox Wipes, chair backpack. Please keep in mind when purchasing your child's book bag, that 2nd graders do not need large rolling bookbags. There is not enough room in the cubbies for them and homework is sent home in a folder so a small backpack is all that is needed. Please write your name on your child's name or initials on ALL of these items with a permanent marker and send them to school on the first day.

LAURA BATTS-3rd Grade- notebook paper, wooden pencils, scissors, glue or glue gel, red or colored ink pen, bottle of antibacterial soap (girls only), Clorox wipes (boys only), crayons, 2 composition or spiral notebooks(for vocabulary/test notes), erasers, glue stick, 4 book covers, highlighter, 2 boxes of tissues, box of band aids with your name on them,one 1-inch, three-ring binder, a folder, seat pack, gallon size Ziploc bag for art supplies (no boxes please). (Not required but nice to have): pencil grips, dry erase markers that click closed.

JILL MARTIN-4th  Grade (Math/Science)-chair pack, 2 single subject notebooks (science/math), two 1-inch three-ring binder (one needed at start of school, one needed in Jan.),  #2pencils (not mechanical), small pencil box that will fit in the desk, two packages of dividers for science binder,crayons/colored pencils, 2 glue sticks (no bottles), scissors,two 2-pocket folders, clean sock for your slate, notebook paper, highlighter, dry erase markers, scotch tape, heavy-duty Ziploc bag for art supplies,(no boxes please), box of tissues and gallon sized Ziploc bags(girls only), Clorox wipes and quart sized (boys only) These are the basics to get started. You may be asked to bring additional items throughout the year.

ROBIN WINSLOW-4th Grade (Lang Arts/Social Studies)-Paper, #2 pencils, 1 package of dividers, red ink pens, yellow highlighter.

JILL MARTIN-5th Grade (Math/Science)- 2 single subject notebooks,one 2-inch three-ring binder,  two 2-pocket folders, notebook paper, clean sock for your slate, highlighter, dry erase markers, pencils, scissors, glue stick, scotch tape, crayons/colored pencils.

ROBIN WINSLOW-5th Grade (Lang Arts/Social Studies)-Paper, one 2 inch binder with dividers (Lang. Arts/SS), #2 pencils (no mechanical), 1 spiral notebook (spelling/vocabulary), 1 pocker folder (homework papers), yellow and pink highlighters, blue or black ink pens, red ink pens, small pencil box to keep in desk, one box of tissues and one container of disinfectant wipes, one box of bandaids (girls only), one bottle of hand sanitizer (boys only), bring a heavy duty Ziploc bag for art supplies (no boxes please-storage is limited), chair pack recommended by not required. Label dividers: Grammar, Word Work, Reading, Writing, Social Studies. Please write your name on all items.

Art Supplies k-5: MRS.RIDDICK

Crayons, colored pencils, scissors, markers, glue stick, sketch pad, eraser. Also to save room, please just bring these in a plastic bag, no art boxes this year- each class will have a plastic bin that all the art supplies will be grouped together.

Students grades 4th-5th- recommend to have 1 Zip Drive.
